BLACK TIE ATTIRE
Join us for an evening of elegance at the Museum of the City of New York. To complement the grandeur of our setting, we kindly request black tie attire for our celebration.
For Ladies
We invite ladies to wear floor-length gowns or elegant, formal cocktail dresses. Think rich fabrics like silk, velvet, or lace. Sophisticated formal accessories and evening wraps are recommended for the transition between the museum galleries and celebration
spaces.

Aside from avoiding white (reserved for the bride), we suggest you lean into the elegance of the evening with jewel tones, dark neutrals, or classic black.
For Gentlemen
Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a tuxedo. A formal dark suit with a white dress shirt and a black bow tie or silk necktie is also a wonderful choice. Polished formal shoes and subtle accessories complete the evening look.
While tuxedos are highly encouraged for our black-tie evening, a well-tailored dark formal suit is also appropriate if a tuxedo is not available.
